Frequently Asked Questions
1. How far in advance should I purchase my wedding dress?
As soon as you have set a date and booked a venue. Gowns can take up to 6 months to arrive from the date you place an order. We recommend you begin shopping for your dress around 9 months to a year out from your wedding date. No worries if you have less than 6 months, we have plenty of options for you as well not only in our love at first sight section where you can walk out with a gown today, but also we have the ability, via our amazing designers, to check active in-stock inventory at any time!
2. Do we allow browsing?
We would love for you to stop in and take a look during our regular business hours Tuesday through Saturday 10 AM to 5 PM. Please understand if we are helping another bride with an appointment we will not be able to give you the special experience we believe you deserve when shopping for your dream gown. We also may ask that you wait for our aisles to clear prior to viewing the showroom if we have a large bridal party in for an appointment. We highly recommend booking an appointment. Please note if our available times do not work for you, please contact us; we are happy to work around your schedule!
3. How much do the gowns cost?
Our constantly updated collections have gowns available to reorder ranging from $700 up to $4,000. When you arrive at your appointment we will help you select gowns within a price range you are comfortable with.
4. Who should I bring with me to my appointment?
We recommend 1-3 of your closest family and friends. Wedding dress shopping is super fun, but it can become stressful when a bride is trying to consider so many opinions. Please let us know if you will have a party over 6 or if children will be accompanying you, so we may properly accommodate your party.
5. What Should I bring with me?
You are more than welcome to bring any photos, wedding planners, your Pinterest board, etc. This will help guide us when selecting styles for you to try on. Also, we recommend wearing nude or lighter colored undergarments. Please note, a bra is not necessary unless you feel more comfortable wearing one since most bridal gowns are designed to provide support without one. Lastly, please bring any items like family/special jewelry, veil/headpeice, or other special garment(s) you plan to wear or incorporate for your special day.
6. How long is my appointment?
Approximately 2 hours! This is the perfect amount of time to browse gowns, try-on, choose your dream dress and celebrate. If you need additional time, no worries, we can schedule a return visit!
7. What sizes do you carry?
We sell gowns sized up to 32 and carry a wide array of sizes. The largest size currently in store is a 28W. We want every bride to have a variety to try on and we do our best to have a range of styles in varying sizes for each bride, though based on designers ever changing offerings, sometimes sizing in certain styles is limited. Samples (the gowns you try on) rarely fit perfectly, but we are experts in helping give you an idea of how it will fit in your size. (Yes we are a plus size retailer.)
8. Will I need alterations?
Most wedding dresses will require at least a few alterations to insure a perfect fit and length. Alterations vary on a per gown and per bride basis, and are not included in the price of your wedding dress. We do not currently offer these services in house. We have a recommended list of master seamstresses to refer you to in the area, please call and we can email the list.
9. What products/services do we carry?
We carry bridal gowns, bride accessories (headpieces, veils, jewelry), bridesmaids gowns (junior & maternity included), flower girl dresses, Bride & Bridesmaid merchandise (sweatshirts, customizable jackets, robes, hats, purses, earrings, bridesmaid box items, etc.), and Wedding Gown Preservation (cleaning included). We DO NOT carry Tuxedos, suits or Menswear! We can recommend several suitable rental and purchase locations, please call for more info.
